onthespothosting.net has let us down. The membership may have noticed problems with the site. Mailing lists have been particularly flaky on this host. I've therefore moved the site to a dedicated server I control directly. This should improve service, and if not I've got nobody to blame but myself.

For a start, I'm able to update the site again. For the past several months Mambo has been unable to connect to its internal database and I've been a bit too busy to install a new CMS, build a new theme, and repopulate the site's content. I've found a way to fix the problem so the site works again and I don't have to go to all that trouble.

Secondly, from now on we will no longer hold regular Friday meetings. Schedule conflicts, a dearth of speakers, and no publicity has led to minimal turnout at the last several meetings. The core group has therefore decided not to hold regular meetings, opting instead to plan full presentations and schedule meetings around them, complete with announcements and publicity.

The "Saturday Things" will still be held at their regular place and time. They still work well as an informal get-together where you can bring your stuff or just hang out.
